National Team member Sean McColl continues to tear it up in Europe, turning in his – and Canada’s – best performances ever in international competition climbing. McColl placed tenth at the Bouldering World Cup in Vail, CO in June, followed by a third at BWC Primiero, IT and a fourth place finish in Montauban, FRA. Switching to Lead competitions as the summer has arrived, McColl most recently placed tenth in the Chamonix World Cup, one of the largest, most prestigious, and longest running events on the IFSC calendar. The season isn’t over yet. McColl and CEC Alpine Club of Canada teammates JJ Mah, and Marshall German will continue for at least a few more invitational events at Serre Chevalier and Arco.
